THE PANORAMIC EXPERIENCE

As soon as I bought my first digital camera, I started experimenting with panoramic images. My CANON digital Ixus has given me the opportunity to freeze a moment in time not limited by a small frame of reality, but ultimately by a 360 degrees pannable image.

Panoramic images add the same dimension to photography as what Dolby surround adds to sound. When viewing them, they give you the impression that you really are there again, standing at the location where the image was taken.

Since the advent of Apple's QTVR, yet another dimension of interactivity was born: the possibility to pan and zoom around in the image. Especially the cylindrical and cubic variants give an extra user-experience.
